Do I need a membership to play? Yes, to enter paid events. A Rider Rodeo Cash membership works like the club dues required to compete in real-world team roping events. You do not need a membership to look around the game or to practice in the home arena.

What does membership cost? $9.99 every 30 days.

Is my membership the same as an entry fee? No. They are separate. Your membership makes you eligible to compete; each event you enter has its own entry fee on top of it.

How does billing work? Your membership renews automatically every 30 days and is debited by ACH from the linked bank account. You will be reminded before each renewal.

Can I pay with a credit card or through the App Store? No. All payments — membership, entry fees and deposits — are made by ACH transfer from your linked U.S. bank account. There are no in-app purchases and no app-store billing.

How do I cancel? In the app, under Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the 30-day period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. Cancelling is no more difficult than signing up.

Will I get a refund for the rest of the period? No. Except where the law requires otherwise, membership fees are not refundable for unused time or for events you did not enter.

What happens to my membership price if prices change? The price you agreed to when you subscribed is the price you continue to pay. Price changes apply to new subscribers.

How do events work? You join an event, compete in timed roping runs under the same conditions as everyone else in the field, and placings are decided by performance.

How is the prize pool calculated? The prize pool is built from the entry fees of everyone in the event, less the operator's fee. It is published before you enter, broken down by place, so you can see exactly what each finishing position pays.

What are round payouts? Some events pay out by round as well as on the overall result. Where an event does this, the round payout structure is shown alongside the main prize breakdown before you enter.

What is a mulligan? A mulligan lets you retake a run. Mulligans are purchased from your wallet and are available in events that allow them.

Can I withdraw from an event after entering? Not from a paid event. Once you have entered an event with an entry fee, your entry stands.

What happens if an event does not fill? If an event does not reach its minimum number of players, it is cancelled and entry fees are returned to the wallets of everyone who entered.

How do I add money? Deposit by ACH transfer from your linked U.S. bank account. Deposits go into your Rider Rodeo Cash wallet.

Is there a deposit limit? Yes — $200 per transaction.

Why do I have two wallet balances? Your account keeps deposits and winnings separately. Deposits are money you have put in; winnings are money you have earned competing. Keeping them apart is what allows us to handle each correctly for tax and compliance purposes.

How do I get my winnings? Request a withdrawal in the app. Winnings are paid by ACH credit to the same verified bank account you linked.

How long do withdrawals take? Withdrawals are subject to identity and compliance verification before they are released, and processing times are shown in the app at the time of your request. We cannot guarantee a specific timeframe.

Can a withdrawal be held or refused? Yes. A withdrawal may be held, delayed, reduced, reversed or refused if we cannot verify your information, if we are investigating a suspected violation of the Terms, until any required tax forms are complete, or where the law requires it.

Do I owe tax on my winnings? Yes — winnings are taxable income and you are responsible for the tax on them. If your net winnings for the calendar year — total winnings less the fees you have paid — reach $2,000, we are required to collect a completed IRS Form W-9 from you and issue a Form 1099-MISC. If you do not complete the required tax forms, we may hold your winnings or suspend withdrawals until you do.

Why a 1099-MISC and not a W-2G? Because this is a skill competition rather than a game of chance. Your winnings are prize income from a contest you competed in, which is reported on a 1099-MISC.

Why do you need to verify my identity? To comply with tax, anti-fraud and anti-money-laundering law, and to keep competition fair. Verification protects the integrity of every event and makes sure winnings reach the person who earned them.

What will I be asked for? Your legal name, date of birth and address to begin with. Depending on the result, you may be asked to submit a government-issued photo ID through a secure verification page.

What happens if my verification needs review? Some checks need a closer look. You will be told your verification is in review and notified when it completes. You can keep exploring the app while you wait, but real-money features stay unavailable until it clears.

Can someone else use my account? No. Your account is yours alone, and the bank account you link must be in your own name.

Where can I play for real money? Everywhere in the United States except Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, South Carolina and South Dakota. This list can change.

Why do you check my location? Because we are only permitted to offer real-money play in certain places, we confirm you are in a permitted area when you register, when you join an event, and when you withdraw winnings. This is a legal requirement, not a preference.

I am travelling — can I still play? You can play from any permitted state. What matters is where you are at the time, not where you live.

How do I close my account? You can start the process from your account settings in the app. Before closing, withdraw any remaining balance — we cannot close an account that still holds money.

What happens to my information when I close my account? Your account is closed immediately. Some records we are legally required to keep — identity verification, tax records and transaction history — are retained for the period the law requires and then removed.
